The City of Grants Pass Department of Public Safety, is pleased to announce the
arrival of the Fire Rescue Division’s newest fire apparatus, a 2011 Pierce Velocity 100’
Aerial Platform. This apparatus replaces a 1989 Simon-LTI 75’ Aerial Ladder and
represents a significant investment in our communities fire and life safety services.
The current aerial ladder has been in continuous service for 22 years and has
exceeded the limitations of its effective service life. Once the new aerial platform goes
into service, the existing aerial ladder will be offered to the highest public bidder as
surplus property
